The alternative investment fund ALFI is defined as an alternative investment fund (AIS) in view of the complexity and characteristics of the investments in which it invests its funds. Geographically, the Fund focuses primarily on investments in the Republic of Slovenia and secondarily in the Republic of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH) and the Republic of Serbia. The Funds investment objective is chiefly to achieve return on investment in: (i) purchases of smaller portfolios of non performing loans, (ii) co-investing in larger portfolios of non performing loans, (iii) purchases of individual non performing loans (single tickets), (iv) investments in companies suitable for restructuring (distressed assets), (v) other financial investments. The investment policy follows the principle of risk diversification in order to increase the value of the funds paid and to maintain high liquidity of the investment.
