TECES is a Slovenian industrial & innovation cluster based on the quadro-helix collaboration (industry, university, government, end users) with the focus on efficient energy conversion / use and energy efficient solutions. From 2017 TECES is a coordinator of Smart Buildings and Home including Wood Chain, Strategic Research and Innovation Partnership (SRIP PSiDL), which is one of the nine key long-term partnerships to support Slovenian Smart Specialisation Strategy (S4) and its goal to transform Slovenian economy from a follower to a co-creator of global trends in identified niche areas. TECES represents one of the first innovation measures of Slovenian government to foster R&D & technology collaboration and strengthen global competitiveness of electrical / electronic industry. It was founded as a non-profit organisation by companies and public research organizations in 2001. Main goal of the cluster is to foster business collaboration among cluster members, supporting them in development and commercialisation of globally competitive products and services, especially among Slovenian energy / energy efficiency value chain stakeholders. ACTIVITIES: - connecting stakeholders from production, transmission, distribution and consumption of energy; energy transmission and distributor operators, R&D & technology & engineering & manufacturing companies (electric devices and components, power electronic systems, home appliances and systems, industrial and commercial systems, energy systems, energy management systems…), energy aggregators & traders, end users… - planning, coordination and management of R&D & technology transfer & demonstration joint projects; - acquisition of public funds and (so)financing; - supporting international collaboration; - supporting human resources development.
