University Rehabilitation Institute, Republic of Slovenia – Soča is the central national healthcare institution offering comprehensive rehabilitation to patients with impairments of motor functioning and work abilities. URI-Soča is composed of seven medical departments and five centers. The medical departments carry out comprehensive outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation of adults and children. In their activities and research, the medical departments are complemented by five centers: • Center for prosthetics and orthotics • Center for vocational rehabilitation • Rehabilitation engineering • Department for research and development • Center for development of vocational rehabilitation Vision: In the following five years, URI-Soča will become an even more recognized, established and influential institution in Europe and worldwide. Mission: The institute offers comprehensive rehabilitation and educates wider community with the purpose of improving the patients'​ quality of life and their re-integration into their social environment. Our research and education promote and update the state of the art in rehabilitation.
